I want to start this letter to you today by saying, “Thank you! You are an amazing family of God!” You went above and beyond with your Christmas in August school supply donations this year. Bonnie and I had the privilege of taking the school supplies to Whale Branch Elementary.

September always brings a lot of memories flooding in for me. Some are happy memories and some are not as good–in fact there are a lot of sad ones. September 11, 2001 was described as a day that shall always be remembered.

Therefore glorify God in your body. For you have been bought with a price. That you are not your own. You have from God, the Holy Spirit.

When we hear the words, “Trust in God,” or “God is going to take care of things,” what do you think of? We hear these phrases many, many times from preachers and teachers and most times we just nod our heads and go on.

We must be willing to go and find those who need Jesus and bring them in to the church and teach them about the freedom that we as Christians have in Jesus.

When I look back over the past 18 months of being here at Shell Point, I can see God at work in so many ways.

May is always a special time, because we celebrate mothers in May. By the time May rolls around we are getting into gardens being planted, flowers are normally in full bloom and the days of summer are definitely upon us.

As we have now entered officially into the spring season we see new life budding from the trees and plants. Green buds along with yellow pollen are everywhere. New Life springs hope.

At Shell Point, we invite you to join us for Sunday worship, where you can find solace, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Our doors are open to everyone, whether you are a lifelong resident of Beaufort or just passing through the Lowcountry.

Our goal at Shell Point Baptist Church is to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 by initiating intentional relationships so that we may share the hope of Jesus Christ. We aren't just a building on Parris Island Gateway; we are a community of believers working together for His kingdom.

April showers bring May flowers, so it has been said. It’s hard to think that we are almost 5 months into this new year. May has been the month that America has celebrated Mothers Day since the early 20th century.
