Rejoice and Praise: God Is Working Through Shell Point
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! I want to thank each of you for donating, working and praying for our Amberfest, yard sale, bake sale. We made a total of $1,284.81. I was praying for $1,000.00 to help with toys for our Christmas Shoe Box Ministry, BUT we know God had a different plan, He blessed us with a 25% increase over what we were asking. He is so good to us. This could not have been done without each one of you contributing in some way. I thank the Lord for each of you.
This is a very busy time of the year for missions. I wonder have you heard, we surpassed our Janie Chapman goal? God is continuing to work through us. I see a fire that is starting to burn brighter and brighter. I hope you are too.
We are starting to work as one unit. Each part of Christ body is starting to contribute in ways we cannot even imagine. I saw a picture of two lovely ladies of Shell Point at the police department donating backpacks. Yes, that was Shell Point and the Women’s Class. Get out of the way and let God work. Shell Point is becoming what God wants us to be, a light in our community. Get on, and join the movement. Worship God, Praise God for all that He is doing. We can not do this without Him. Do not hold back from God what is His. Let Him bless you and Shell Point. We all know He wants to. We have a mission, let’s do it!!!
Upcoming, we will having our annual Women’s Retreat at Camp Jackson on October 16th and 17th. We start with dinner at 6:00 p.m. We always have a nice bonfire in the evening where we laugh and share. Our guest speaker is Tammy Curtis. She will be talking to us about “Transformation”. How has God transformed your life since you became His child? He works in so many ways to make us who He wants us to be when we let Him. Please sign up on the sheet in the vestibule. We would love to have you. MMT will be catering for us again this year. They always do a good job of providing us great food and cleaning up afterwards. You will need to bring your bedding and your BIBLE.
