A Heart of Thanksgiving: November WMU Ministry Update
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
Happy Thanksgiving! The month of November always seems to be the month of “What are you thankful for?” I notice on Facebook; people will post something new they are thankful for each day.
We can all be thankful, that God woke us up this morning, that He has provided a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, and most importantly, He provided a Savior.
“Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the holy one. Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ His Son.” every month, for what God has done for us.
We are currently collecting items for Prison Packets. The women's class is doing an amazing job again this year in collecting items. I so greatly appreciate all they do each year, in collecting and supporting our missions and the projects they do on their own. Please place your completed Prison packets or items on the back table. If you would prefer you can give me the funds and I will be glad to buy the items and pack the Prison pack for you. Prison Packets are due to the church on or before November 22, 2026.
Hey, have you heard, we have a guest speaker coming at the end of November. Ms. Charlotte Diggs will be coming to tell us about her mission adventures in China. Ms. Diggs is a very important person to Ms. Fran and so enjoys to come visit with her every other year or so. I pray you will join us as we welcome Charlotte Diggs also known as Lottie Moon. Her life story is amazing. Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and Season of Prayer starts November 29, 2026. Our church goal is $1550.00. We can make this goal if we all work together.

Do not forget about November 7, 2026, our churchwide breakfast and Christmas Shoe Box Packing Party. We have a great time of fellowship and amazing grace packing these boxes.
Our children and grandchildren would get a thrill out of this event as well. It is a way to share missions on a level they may better understand.
Thank you and let us keep praying for each other.
In Christ's Love,
Jenny Durham
