“Happy Mothers Day”

April showers bring May flowers, so it has been said. It’s hard to think that we are almost 5 months into this new year. May has been the month that America has celebrated Mothers Day since the early 20th century. Although 40+ countries celebrate Mothers at some point during the year, the United States and the United Kingdom are mostly known for the celebration of our mothers.

Jesus began His earthly ministry at the request of His mother Mary at a wedding ceremony. Mothers are mentioned several times in the Bible, so there is a special reason we should celebrate our moms. If you still have your mother and are able to spend time with her do so, or if you can’t be with her but can call her I urge you to do so.

Moms are special to us all. They love us without question and are always willing to sacrifice for you for anything. Moms are possibly the closest we will be able to experience God’s unfailing love in this side of heaven.

I love my mom and hope that all mothers have not only a blessed Mother’s Day, but a blessed life.

“Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all.”- Proverbs 31:28-29
