New Life & Hope in Christ

As we have now entered officially into the spring season we see new life budding from the trees and plants. Green buds along with yellow pollen are everywhere. New Life springs hope.

We celebrate Easter the first Sunday of April and as I sit and think about it, I feel that there are some significant changes that took place because of this one event. Jesus suffered and died for each of our sins and was raised so that we have an opportunity to overcome death. Not the physical death that happens here, but the spiritual death that we are told will come if we reject Jesus. That specific event changed history forever. More than 2000 years later we still talk about it, celebrate it and thank God for it daily.

The event of Jesus’ resurrection was and is the firm foundation of our faith and we stand on it confidently as we live our lives for Him.

As Paul wrote, all things are made new. We are a new creation in Christ Jesus. The newness of life is a real thing. It happens when we make a conscious decision to follow Jesus as our Savior. People who have lived hard, bitter lives are changed and become different and better people. So take a few moments and look around and see how truly blessed you are. God has given us a wonderful opportunity to have and to share with others.

The love of Jesus is as large as the world itself, but yet as personal as the love of a parent. The event of meeting Jesus will always bring a change to every person who meets Him.

The question is, do you accept or reject Him?
