The Beautiful Work You Don’t Always See

Dear Church Family,

When I look back over the past 18 months of being here at Shell Point, I can see God at work in so many ways. Most people may not see what I see, simply because they don’t know or understand what the inside stories really are. God is changing lives, strenthening marriages, healing sicknesses, healing hearts, removing negative situations from lives and so much more. I personally am so excited about what I see God doing. He is firming up our foundation for the future growth that I know is coming.

Many times, people get impatient about things. They want to see growth at all costs and never consider that there are steps that we need to take before you have new people or ministries at the church. I have had people say to me that they thought the church would be much further ahead of where we are at this point, but I believe that we are working within a planned situation that God has for us at this point.

Jesus never wavered from what He knew was His ministry here and the timeline that was set for it and I don’t think that we should try and push our want as God’s will. We need to allow God to continue to work in His time and I am sure that He will move us forward in the exact time that He deems in order for us to reach the goals that He has for us.

My one plea for each of you is that you will commit to praying over the church and what God's will and timing is for the future of Shell Point. There are several decisions that will affect the future of the church coming up soon and we must be diligent in praying over them and that we do not get ahead of God on any of them.

When I say that God is working in the church, I do not say that to give anyone false hope. I say that because I know what He is showing me day by day and I know the back stories of what has been. When I have people come to me, call me or text me saying how God is impacting them personally. It is so encouraging to me to hear, because it continues to confirm to me, that God is not finished nor has He forgotten about a church called Shell Point.

God Bless,

Pastor Mark
